Hatsu no Mori offers a delicately sweet and creamy taste—like a light matcha dream. Its milky, full-bodied flavor has a long finish, even when enjoyed alongside or after a meal. For a richer experience, it can be prepared with less water to create a ‘thicker’ usucha, and it also benefits from lower brewing temperatures. Compared to Kyo no Mori, this tea is milder and less intense.
The Spirit of Enshu Sado: Sado is a ritualized form of tea service that embodies "Wakeiseijaku"—the ideals of harmony, respect, purity, and tranquility. This philosophy promotes thoughtful connection and appreciation for both people and the artistic elements within the tea ceremony. The Enshu Sado (Tea) school, founded by Enshu Kobori in the early Edo period, has upheld this tradition for over 400 years. Enshu, a feudal lord and esteemed tea master, was the tea instructor for the Tokugawa Shogunate. His legacy endures through his contributions to painting, calligraphy, poetry, architecture, and garden design.
