福鼎 野生 白牡丹 2022年
Guanyang, Fuding, Fujian
Originating from Guanyang, a high mountain core area of Fuding, this Wild Baimudan 2022 is a fitting example of Fuding, the birthplace of white tea.
Baimudan, typically known for its fresh character, stands out with its crisp and vibrant profile. It offers a lighter, more refreshing experience compared to Aged Gongmei, showcasing the subtle yet distinct flavors unique to Baimudan.
After a 4-month survey comparing offerings from 2022 and 2023, we selected this for its added complexity and sweetness, which complements its inherent freshness. This selection offers a balanced and comforting flavor and aroma, delivering a pure and invigorating white tea experience. It's ideal for those who appreciate the delicate interplay of freshness and a bit of maturity in their tea.
Suggestion: 5g / 100 ml, 95-100°C.
How: Allow the tea to express its full array of flavors through multiple steeps.
Brewing Vessel: Gaiwan / porcelain or clay teapot.

Glossary:
Wild
In tea cultivation, "wild" refers to tea plants that grow naturally in the wild, without human intervention in their cultivation. They are often valued for their unique flavor profiles, which can be influenced by the diverse flora and fauna in their natural environment.
These plants are not farmed or treated with fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs, allowing them to develop in a more natural state. This often leads to a more authentic and potentially more environmentally sustainable tea.
It's important to note that 'wild' doesn't inherently mean better quality. The term simply indicates a different approach to cultivation, leading to distinct characteristics in the tea. 'Wild' is not an absolute measure of quality over cultivated teas.
